my 404 error page

How about my amazing new Search Muse 404 error page?!

A 404 page should make a visitor stay on your site, take a look around and eventuallly find what they were originally looking for.

It should apologise for the fact they have found the page in the first place, there should be links to potentially useful pages/ sitemap (and certainly a link back to the homepage), perhaps a navigation box and in no way should it belittle the person for happening across it.

My 404 page does none of that.

Mine takes another approach. It is made for geeks and made me smile.

Back to the future note: Fast forward 2.2 years to see all my favourite 404’s in one post)
